Today, I am taking a cue from a fellow slicer, Karyn In The Kitchen, and making a list of the things I am thankful for this week.
- my neighbor, who brings my trash cans back from the curb
- leftovers from my daughter that yielded two dinners
- an early dinner with a friend from college
- grocery pickup services
- surviving standardized testing
- a delicious dinner I actually cooked myself
- finishing and audiobook
- warmer weather
- a plan to refresh my flower beds
- finding my missing Chapstick and spare house key
- a refilled snack cart in the faculty room
- The Phillies winning their home opener
- the people who read my posts and those who comment on them
- some free time at school to work on purging my classroom
Rita, being thankful and listing the ways is a self-help habit. It not only serves you well but gives other readers the time to pause and meditate on what we are grateful for. Have a wondereful weekend. Even though it is raining and cold out today, I am thankful for my blooming cherry and pear trees. They are so beautiful against the dark sky.

I agree, it is a great list! Better than most, and I love that you cooked yourself a dinner and it was good, and I absolutely love the Phillies winning their home opener! Keep the list going, they encourage all of us too.

It is always nice to make a thankful list. It reminds us how blessed we are.

What a great list—food, community, surviving testing, slice readers and commenters. Enjoy your weekend!
